Turning Debris Into Opportunity

Located on Anthony Street, Cogent Waste’s Brooklyn C&D Facility is the city’s end destination for construction and demolition debris. Processing more than 8,000 tons each month, the site handles wood, furniture, metals, sheetrock, concrete, and other bulk material.

 

Trucks unload into designated pits, where materials are separated and processed. Metals are pulled out for scrap, cardboard is sent to our 47th Street facility for rebaling, and fill is repurposed as landfill cover. Open six days a week, the Brooklyn C&D Facility also serves as a convenient transportation station for packer trucks, keeping New York’s waste stream moving efficiently.
