At Cogent Waste, we don’t just collect bulk and construction debris. We give it a second life. Our Brooklyn Construction & Demolition (C&D) facility on Anthony Street is the hub where demolition material, bulk waste, and recyclables are processed, sorted, and prepared for reuse.

What We Accept

The facility handles a wide range of bulk waste, including:

  • Furniture (chairs, sofas, and other bulky items)

  • Demolition materials such as wood, sheetrock, cement, and bricks

  • Concrete, rock, and dirt

  • Cardboard, metals, and other recyclables

If it’s construction debris or large bulk material, chances are we can process it here.

How It Works

Every day, trucks line up to unload their material into separate pits, where waste is sorted, processed, and directed into specialized bunkers. From there, advanced equipment—including the Inventhor Type 9 grinder—gets to work. This machine grinds down large material into fine fill, while powerful magnets separate out metals for further recycling.

Turning Waste Into Resources

Much of what comes into our Brooklyn facility gets transformed into valuable material streams. These streams include:

  • Metals are pulled out and sent to scrap yards.

  • Fill material created from demolition debris is often sold for landfill capping—helping safely close off sections of landfills.

  • Cardboard is collected and transported to our 47th Street facility, where it’s re-baled and processed.

A Facility That Never Sleeps

Open six days a week for 12 hours a day, the Brooklyn C&D facility is a nonstop operation. Trucks are constantly arriving, dumping, and loading as our team works to ensure materials are recycled and reused wherever possible.

Building a Cleaner Future

From construction sites to office cleanouts, Cogent Waste makes it easier for New York businesses to dispose of their bulk and demolition debris responsibly. By separating, recycling, and repurposing, we’re helping reduce the volume of material headed to landfills—one truckload at a time.
