Brooklyn South Commercial Waste Zone Is Now Live: What Local Businesses Should Know
As of January 1, 2026, Brooklyn South has officially entered New York City’s Commercial Waste Zones (CWZ) program. Businesses in the zone are now required to work with an authorized hauler approved by the Department of Sanitation (DSNY). Only those haulers meeting DSNY standards may collect commercial waste and recycling in the area.
